The Sharp and Snazzy artwork of Gabriel Moreno

By Culturazzi on 19 December 2010
Printer-friendly version

Gabriel Moreno is an illustrator, engraver, and painter based in Madrid. The artist got his degree of Fine Arts from the University of Sevilla in 1998 and started work in different design studios and ad agencies across Andalusia soon after. In 2004 he moved to Madrid and was on his way to making it big. For a good part of his career, the artist focused on creating art not for his clients but for himself. Soon after circulating his portfolio, the artist was selected amongst the 20 new talents of illustration by the London based magazine Computer Arts, at which point he began his prolific career as an illustrator.

Pen, ink, and watercolor are the primary mediums that Gabriel uses for his art, while women can be identified as the main motif in almost all his works. “I get inspired with beauty in all its forms and most of the time it is a woman that makes me have a creative reaction”, the artist tells us.

Currently, Gabriel has worked with nearly every major national agency, some of which include Universal Music, CocaCola, Snickers, and Marlboro. He has also worked with several national and international publications such as Rolling Stones, Sunday Times London, Time Out London, and Los Angeles Times. The artist’s work was also featured in the 2009 cover of Los Angeles Times Magazine. A collection of Gabriel’s stunning artwork can be seen below.

More of the artist's work can be found on his website.
