Jeremiah Ketner is a Chicago-based artist who paints alluring and dreamy young women within exquisitely colored environments. The artist holds a BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design and an MFA from Southern Illinois University.
Jeremiah is inspired by Japanese pop art and his paintings often depict playful, sprite-like characters that add to the charm and keep things from getting too serious. “I want to make art that has a sense of calm and may evoke a feeling of serenity. It is way too easy to focus on negativity and to be entertained by other's shortcomings. My artwork offers a sense of well-being and happiness,” the artist tells us.
May, Jason Limon, Amy Sol, Yoskay Yamamoto, and Melissa Haslam are only some of the artists that inspire Jeremiah. Jeremiah's paintings have been showcased in solo and group exhibitions in more than 50 galleries across North America and have made his works hugely popular amongst his collectors. A collection of paintings by the artist can be seen below.
