Capturing the Surreal in Reel: Bill Hinton Photography

By Culturazzi on 04 August 2009
Printer-friendly version

Bill Hinton is a Seattle based photographer who was inspired into photography by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Bill has been in the field of photography for the past 40 years and through his immense talent seeks to capture the mood and atmosphere of regions that often go unnoticed.

Bill's remarkable passion for nature and landscape is clear from his pictures. “As I travel, I am always in search of that ‘perfect moment’ - A moment when everything seems to come together. Finding and photographing these beautiful, unique moments will always be my passion”, Bill tells us.

Bill’s skill for photographic clarity and detail went on to quickly get him a lot of public and professional notice - The photographer has sold countless photographs to many clients, and has had his work published in The Seattle Times. But the photographer’s biggest accomplishment was to have one of his photos of two fishermen at the base of Snoqualmie Falls published in the February 09 issue of National Geographic Magazine. What we admire about Bill’s photography is his terrific eye for color, composition and mood – all that go into making his love for nature all the more obvious.

A collection of Bill’s breath-taking landscape pictures from the Pacific north-west can be viewed below.

Bill's current photography pack: Nikon D-80 , several Nikon lenses
