Vincent Prévost is a French freelance editorial photographer based out of South Korea and has been teaching French as a foreign language since 2002. Vincent got his first SLR at the age of 11 and took up photography as a passion when he started to explore the intersection between fine art and journalism.
Rediscovering the nooks and crannies of the world, Vincent uses his lenses to open detailed perspectives on what makes exotic civilizations so singular and remarkable under western eyes. His images are an invitation to delve into the lifestyles of people whose reality is sometimes remote, and is often ignored. “I try to convey my vision of the world to those people who stay at home”, the tireless globetrotter tells us.
The resulting hallmarks of his pictures are vivid colours and apparent simplicity. Most of Vincent’s work is in color, but the photographer still enjoys the subtlety of black and white that reminds him of his debut in the dark room. The practiced photographer loves the art of creating imaginative pictures and is happy to do so regardless of the subject and technical constraints, as his online galleries show. A collection of Vincent’s culturally rich photographs can be seen below.
Vincent’s current photography pack: A Canon Full Frame DSLR and L lenses. His favorite lens for portraiture is the 85mm f1.2
