Printer-friendly version

Peter Adams is a travel photographer from Wotton, UK and is well known for winning the coveted Travel Photographer of the Year award in 2003.  Peter, who has visited every continent, and nearly one hundred countries across the world considers himself a self taught photographer and was drawn into full-time photography by his own natural curiosity about the world.

Peter’s travel photographs have achieved great recognition and have been frequently exhibited in galleries across London. His photographs are a mix of places, environmental portraits, and people. “For me travel, particularly in the third world, is about the people who live there - the encounters with the people you meet are often what makes a trip memorable. The human connection and learning of what it’s like to live somewhere leads me to find these experiences through my photography,” the experienced photographer tells us.

The photographer’s shots have found their place in numerous of poster prints, CD covers, books, magazines, and calendars. Peter’s photos have also appeared on calendars for companies like Canon and SmithKline Beecham. A collection of Peter’s excellent photographs can be seen below.

Peter's current photography pack: Canon 1ds Mk 3, Canon 5d Mk 2. Canon lenses: 17-40 f4, 24-105 f4, 70-200 f4
